Cornelius Cooper "Corny" Johnson (August 28, 1913 – February 15, 1946) was an American athlete in the high jump. Born in Los Angeles in 1913, Johnson first competed in organized track and field events at Berendo Junior High School. He achieved greater athletic success as a student at Los Angeles High School, competing in the sprint and in the high jump. Before going to the Olympics as a junior, he won the CIF California State Meet in 1932. He had been second the year before. In 2016, the 1936 Olympic journey of the eighteen Black American athletes, including Johnson, was documented in the film ''Olympic Pride, American Prejudice''. Cornelius Otis Johnson (June 12, 1943 – July 11, 2017) was a former American football offensive guard who played six seasons with the Baltimore Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Colts in the eighth round of the 1967 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia Union University and attended Richmond High School in Richmond, Virginia. He was a member of the Colts team that won Super Bowl V. He was also a member of the Harrisburg Capitols and The Hawaiians. Professional career Johnson was selected by the Baltimore Colts with the 204th pick in the 1967 NFL Draft. He played in 74 games, starting seven, for the Colts from 1967 to 1973. He also played for the Harrisburg Capitols of the Atlantic Coast Football League in 1967. The Capitols served as Baltimore's farm club. Cornelius Johnson or Cornelis Janssens van Ceulen (; also Cornelius Jonson van Ceulen, Cornelis Jansz. van Ceulen and many other variants) (bapt. 14 October 1593 – bur. 5 August 1661) was an English painter of portraits of Netherlands, Dutch or Flanders, Flemish parentage. He was active in England, from at least 1618 to 1643, when he moved to Middelburg, Zeeland, Middelburg in the Netherlands to escape the English Civil War. Between 1646 and 1652 he lived in Amsterdam, before settling in Utrecht, where he died. Johnson painted many portraits of emerging new English gentry. His early portraits were panel paintings with "fictive" oval frames. His works can be found in major collections in the UK and overseas as well as in private collections in stately homes in Britain. He was an accomplished portrait painter, but lacked the flair of a master such as Van Dyck. Cornelius Alexius Theodore Johnson (born November 29, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines. High school career Johnson attended the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut. He caught 129 passes for 2,167 yards and 33 touchdowns at Brunswick. As a senior in 2018, he was selected as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Connecticut. College career Johnson's mother is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. In December 2018, Johnson announced his commitment to play college football at Michigan. As a freshman in 2019, he caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown against Michigan State.
